I m back!!

Its time to revamp my old blog.  It was  wonderful to read my old blog after years and go deep down in memories. 

Back then,  I was desperately trying to start my career.  And all those pain and suffer yielded a great kick start to my career.  Now I am a proud software techie specialized in SOA and aspiring to be technical architect.  I was given an opportunity to work at client location at Belfast.,  Northern Ireland.  New home,  new office,  new surroundings and obviously new challenging experience. 

Will share my thoughts and life experience here

Accenture Interview

 2nd july 2006
This s the second time i m going for the anna university off campus after a terrible   performance in CSC interview. My coll frnd rajkumar came to ragav home as he cant come from his home to the interview direclty. My home and ragv home are nearer to anand coll where the interview gonna take place. Once raj reached ragav home, he called me there. So i went to his home at 7 in evening. We started going to tea shops talking al stories.

I called raj to stay in night in  my home so that morning both can start early. He too agreed and we three had our dinner in a road side fast food ( as usual ragv ate like anything ) . Me and raj reached my home at 9 . We decided to prepare aptitude for some time. so both were seriously working on it for 3 hours. We slept and 12 and got up at 5 in morning

Both took bath and drank horlicks . We went to tambaram railway station where i met my coll girls who were also waiting for dat anand coll bus. Finally d bus came at 6 and we al reached coll at 7 30 am. There was a very huge crowd , around 2000 engineers . As i got dat passbook already , i was allowed inside first in coll order. Me and my coll mates got a same class. The written test started correctly at 9 .There was aptitude questions, technical questions and time duration is 90 mins. At 10:30 , all our papers were collected back. As we al were starving,we went straight to canteen . That was the worst canteen i ever could imagine. We ate for name sake and sat under a tree . At 12 o clock they announced the results and to my surprise my name was called as 4th name. i went inside and they took us to GD room


In my batch there was 3 of my coll mates out of 20. Raj dint speak well , so he got out in GD. Me and satish cleared the GD. We never prepared for the technical and HR round. But those ppl from accenture wanna conduct those on the same day itself. i had no other go to ask a nearby girl to give her book. i had 2 hours time and i revised all my 4 years engineering main subjects.

Me and satish went for the technical round in a same hall . My interviewer was a foreigner. He dint know anything much abt chennai or anna university or the on going off campus. dunno why he came there.. .


He asked me questions from Ethics, quality management which were never my main subjects. Even then i answered him correctly. He then started asking questions from all the subjects from my engineering.  i gave him correct answers for 90 % of the questions. It took around 40 mins for my interview and finally i got chance to question him . Then i came to the waiting area.Within five mins, a guy came to me and told that you can leave for the day sir. I jus felt like something . very tough to put in words. all my sweat and blood in vain.

I came out looking for frnds. i couldnt find a single one in dat large crowd. i called them and jus then my mobile was out of charge and got switched off... wat d ... i came out and got a public bus . Came home and never talked with any1. That night i slept really late. My heart was heavy not coz failed in interview, all my efforts have no fruits. . started learning to put my efforts without seeing d results :)

July 15th,2010

Today i had an interview in Systech solutions inc. On last Monday i went to that company and cleared d first two rounds. Ms. Asha, Systech,  HR Team, called me up two days back and informed dat i have my technical round of interview on thursday. So i was preparing for the interview for last two days. Even in dreams i get these DBMS, relations, sql queries ....

I got up by 6 and saw my bro getting ready for his usual hectic work. i switched on my laptop and searched about the company details and also DBMS and Sql interview questions. I noted it down in a half torn record sheets which was my study note. It has all the jest of the things i studied. It was 7 o clock, interview is at 10.30 Am. So i took bath, wore my lucky blue shirt ( which was never lucky :( ) and packed my bag . As usual my mom just then started to cook and as usual morning fight with her. Finally she prepared my breakfast at 8. I ate quickly, took my great ducati bike ( tvs excel ) and went zoom ( 30kmph) to tambaram railway station where i ll park my bike. I heard a weird  sound from my tvs but i really never cared abt it. My mind thinks only abt how to answer those HR ppl.

I approached to tambaram bus stop and looked for 21G bus. i duno why there s always a huge rush for dat bus even when its there for every 5 mins. Luckily i got AC bus and fortunately a seat too . I took my notes and started revising . the AC cooling, mild FMsongs ( dat too my fav vj songs ), man wat a life :). .

I reached Park shreton hotel or Adyar gate at 9.30. From there , its 5 mins walk . dunno wat to do for 1 hour. i called my dad and informed him like i reached . he told me to sit inside the company . But i dint listen him. . i prefered to walk for 15 mins, duno where i m  walking or d place name. I love walking in unknown area. i saw few famous shops like nokia, planetm etc etc, the place is definitely a  hi fi  area. i wondered if i could earn money and buy a bungalow like those . .

It was 10 am. i decided to walk back slowly . I reached d company at 10:15 am. There was a huge crowd waiting for the interview. even though its a small company of 200 employees, they offered a good salary package of 3  lacs PA and thats y there is a huge crowd. As d security asked my resume , i gave him one and signed the visitors registry .I was waiting in the lobby and thats when 2 gentle men came and called my name loudly.

I went inside along with them .. As we were walking towards the interview room , both of them shook hands with me and introduced themselves . They were really very friendly . We three sat in a table , two of them on one side and me on d opp side. They started with tel me abt yourselves .As usual i stammered in starting but was able to pick up quickly which made them forget my stammering. . One guy was very fair, tall and was like some film hero and other was brown skinned , They started asking questions in OOPS,  RDBMS,SQL and many other subjects. . If u ask me , i dint do that much well .  The interview lasted for about one hour and i couldnt asnwer some questions. . Finally they said like interview was over and u can leave for the day. They ll give feedback through telephone.I shook hands with them and came out of the company


I walked towards the bus stop . i stopped at one tea shop and had a coke . I called my dad and mom and said dat i dint do wel . The time was  12 o clock. I waited for few mins and 21G bus came . Even at noon it was rush . I got seat only at guindy. Thats when i got many calls. Two of my coll frnds called me for the saturday movie plan and the other was my school frnd called me to inform dat he reached home from pune after a interview which he cleared . was very happy for him.

It was 1:15pm when i reached my bike stand and the sun was burning like anything. I started my tvs and dat kicker was gone. thats when i remembered like this s why i got weird sound in morning. I took to mechanic shop for repairing it. He asked me Rs300 for changing the kicker. But as usual i don ve dat much money. I told him like start it as of now, i ll manage. so he took Rs10 from me and he started it. I never stopped it anywhere came straigth to home . Had a heavy lunch . It was 3 o clock. i prefered to watch some film then having a nap . so i watched The prestige. Though it was released in 2006, i jus now got chance to see it. one of the great movie . And thats d end of a neither good nor bad day . . . .

Indian startup to help copy your brain on computers

Thiruvananthapuram: Now, Swiss scientists and PIT Solution, a little-heard of IT startup in Technopark in Kerala will be working on the Blue Brain Project, the world's first comprehensive attempt to reverse-engineer the mammalian brain, reports Financial Express.

The $3 billion project is expected to be completed by 2018, said Brain Mind Institute of Swiss Federal Institute Director Henry Markram to Financial Express. The project is billed as an attempt to build a computerized copy of a brain - starting with a rat's brain, and then progressing to a human brain-inside one of the world's most powerful computers. It is an international project, propelled by Swiss Federal Institute, and involves several countries and ethics monitoring by UN bodies. India is yet to be part of the project.



The immediate purpose is to understand brain function and dysfunction through detailed simulations. "The study of rhodent brain has given us a template to build on. This would help in unraveling human brain," says Markram. "The whole idea is that mental illness, memory and perception triggered by neurons and electric signals could be soon treated with a supercomputer that models all the 1,000,000 million synapses of brain."

The key finding is that irrespective of gender and race, human brains are basically identical. "We will be able to map the differentiations by nuancing the patterns later. The exciting part is not how different we are but how similar we all are," says Markram.

Little Johnny's at it again..... A new teacher was trying to make use of her psychology courses. She started her class by saying, "Everyone who thinks they're stupid, stand up!" All About Anger Control

When most people think about anger control problems, they picture out and out violence. In reality, however, anger control is more complicated than this. It encompasses every kind of impulse control anger problem imaginable, from the most horrific acts of rage to much more benign actions. Learning how to control anger doesn't just mean learning how to not raise your fists against the people close to you when something irritates you. It can mean learning how to not allow your internal frustrations to boil over, sabotaging you and ruining your day. Abusive parents and spouses aren't the only people who need to work on anger issues sometimes. Angry children Are every bit as big of a problem in modern society.

Learning how to control anger is a difficult process, and it varies from person to person. The first step in anger control is really identifying the issue that makes you angry. I used to have a lot of problems with workplace anger myself, but in my personal life, I was rarely angry at anyone. This led me to wrongly conclude that I had no problem with controlling anger, but that wasn't the case. It was simply that only a certain kind of situation would set me off. Many anger control issues are like this, and they can't really be solved until you identify what triggers you.

From there, anger control treatments vary. Some people recommend hypnosis to control anger. This is a relatively new treatment, but some clinics have reported considerable success with it. In my case, however, I used much more traditional techniques. Methods of controlling anger are often pretty straightforward and logical. After you figure out what is triggering your anger, you figure out why it is triggering it. The reason could be psychological � you might hold some resentment against someone that stems from previous experiences in your life � or it could be something else. In my case, I simply had an infuriating coworker who would always undermined me. It was not a matter of my own psychology, but of learning how to mediate my own reactions.

That is always the final step in anger control. Once you no what is setting you off and know why it is setting you off, you have to learn how to stop it. Sometimes, counting to 10, taking a deep breath, or walking away is enough. Other times, more sophisticated methods have to be used. Learning to talk things out, recognize when something is triggering you, and finding healthy outlets for aggression are all important strategies.
